Description
The trail is a series of loops that meander through a system of lakes created by an old strip mine. Its makes for interesting terrain and plenty of good fishing. Water is not a problem and never far as long as you have the means to treat it. The park is also a great place to mushroom hunt in the Spring.

Directions to Hike
Located 6 miles southwest of Pinckneyville, IL of of State Route 127. A sign is located approximately 3 miles south of Pinckneyville. Turn west and go 3 miles to the entrance.
