Description
Although it states that this trail is 16 miles, the visitor's center said it was 12.
Trail is beautiful however it is slippery and muddy. Take extra socks, shoes and pants for the drive home.
You might think you're half way there, but think again because you're probably not!
Also, at times, the trail meets up with the horse trail, don't worry, you'll know when they diverge again.

Directions to Hike
Located 12 miles south of Carbondale. To reach the park take State Route 51 south out of Carbondale to Makanda, turn east and proceed through Makanda to the park entrance.
