Description
The park offers novice spelunkers and walkers a good way to safely observe some small caves. There are fourteen caves which range in both size and difficulty. Many of the caves are shallow and small like shinbone. While others are very large like dancehall. There are two longer caves with squeezes and water they are steelgate and the wye cave. Bring a flashlight and clothes you don't care about.

This is a great place for kids both big and small.

Directions to Hike
Take I-80 to state highway 61 north, go through Maquoketa and follow the signs to the state park.
