Description
This 14 mile loop trail begins at Vogel State Park and proceeds north of GA 180 before turning back and heading to the top of Coosa Bald. From there, it follows the Duncan Ridge trail to Slaughter Gap and turns off back towards Vogel. The trail is extremely strenuous with long and steep uphill climbs but offers great views and sense of accomplishment. It's perfect for a two day hike providing good water most of the way. Recommend counterclock wise route.

Directions to Hike
Vogel State Park is located north of Dahlonega off of GA 19/129.
