Description
Shed you hiking boots and wear your running shoes for this trail, and hopefully your not affraid of getting wet. The Jacks River falls trail crosses the river more than 20 times. None of the crossings will go past your waist but in the summer time you will find yourself soaking your entire body in order to fight the heat. You will find the heat and exhaustion dissepear when you reach the final destination point; Jacks River water fall. There you can relax and rest up for the departure. There is a 15 foot cliff that was semingly created just for juming off. The water holes are deep and plentiful. This is a semi-difficult trail. The 15 mile treck in can be washed away by taking the 4 mile exit trail, but you better have another car at the other end of the trail because the two trail heads are about 5 miles apart. This is one of the best trails I have ever been on. An excellent trail for the summer time. One thing to keep in mind of in the summer time are the snakes. That aren't an abundent amount of them, but they are there.

Directions to Hike
From Atlanta: Take I-75 North to US route 411 (Cisco,Ga) On US 411 go east toward the mountains. Once you have reached the little town look for the church in the center of town. I think its the intersection of Ga Highway 2 and 411. There will be a Gastation/Food Mart on the left and the church is on the right. Adjacent to the church is Forest service road 16. Take FS16 east into the mountains. Continue several miles on this road (which is curvy, gravel, and narrow) until you come to a suspension bridge crosses Jacks River. The trail head is not too far from there. It will be on the right side of the road.
