Description
Once a diverse loop hike with a lot of shade, has been nearly destroyed by several hurricanes over the past three years. The Park Service, in an attempt at a control burn in early '06, nearly burned the entire south end of the park and the nature area on the East side of US 1. Not on windy days next time guys. Nearly all Sand Pine and Saw Palmetto are burned beyond recognition there. Save this hike for five to ten years down the road when thing are green again.

Thanks for years of maintenance Florida Trail. They nearly burned your new bridge down.

Directions to Hike
Once in the park, trail head is at the rear of the parking lot on your right.
