Description
From the Cow Creek Trailhead the trail climbs very gently along Cow Creek for 2 miles. After taking the fork up to the falls, the trail then begins a slightly steeper ascent that lasts for about a mile. The falls are not spectacular, but they are nice.

This hike would be great for smaller children, as it is mostly flat and not too far. Starting at one of the other trailheads such as Twin Owls Trailhead or Gem Lake Trailhead would make a longer, more challenging hike.

Directions to Hike
From Loveland take Highway 34 to Estes Park. In downtown Estes Park turn right (north) on MacGregor Avenue, which turns into Devils Gulch Road. Continue on Devils Gulch Road after passing Gem Lake Trailhead and take a left on the only major dirt road (sorry I can't tell you the name). If you get to the switchbacks on Devils Gulch Road you've gone too far. Continue down the dirt road until you see the Cow Creek Trailhead.
