Description
5 mile one way hike into a mountain valley lake. Trailhead is on the edge of Mt. Massive wilderness and trail goes up about 1000 ft over 2.5 miles before descending to the edge of Native lake. Several campsites available around this lake. Trail continues down toward Leadville Fish Hatchery with waterfall 2 mi south of Native lake and a side trail to the summit of Mt. Massive further on.

Directions to Hike
From US24 North approach Leadville and turn L onto McWethy Rd. R on Turquoise Lake Rd. Follow this road along the lake before bearing L onto SR 4. Parking lot is on the R just prior to the Carlton tunnel. Parking is located at N39'14.833 W106'28.161
