Description
A challenging trail full of breath-taking views. Which ever way you choose to travel on the loop, clockwise is the most popular, the first approximatly 3 days is all uphill.

Directions to Hike
From Fresno take the highway 180 to Roads End in Kings Canyon. From there attain a backcounrty permit at the ranger station. You will be asked to listen to a short information lecture about the bear problem and minimal impact backpacking. Once leaving from Roads end you travel west on a flat dusty trail for about two miles. Here is where you make your decision, you can travel either clockwise and head north, or travel counterclockwise and take the trail to the west. Either way you will return to this spot 44 miles through.
