Description
This hike is located in Joshua Tree. The hike itself is about an 8 mile round trip, but a side trail takes you to another cool spot so add an extra 2 mi. The lost palms oasis is a collection of fan palms nestled in a narrow canyon. It is the largest grouping of its type in the park. from the trail head, you hike through all types of terrain from sand to rock, up and down washes. The view is increadible. I suggest taking the mastadon mine trail from the trail head in camp that connects back to the oasis trail.

Directions to Hike
from Palm Springs, take the I10 east past indio to the 195 north. you will see a sign that says joshua tree state park exit the 10 and make a left onto 195. the first ranger station is about 7 miles in from the junction. this station is at the cotton wood camp grounds. follow the road to on your right at the station.your allmost there. I suggest parking at the lot at the end of this road. dont hike out from this trail head at the springs. rather walk back up the road and fallow the trail head to the right that leads to the mastadon mine. this trail connects to the oasis trail, and is worth the walk. your there, enjoy!
