Description
9 miles one way. Starts out in Doug Fir forest periodically popping out into open views of spectacular naked granite walls. Follows large creek at a consistent upward climb for the last 5 +/- miles to lake. Nice weekend trip for those wanting awesome scenery but an easy trail.

Directions to Hike
on Hwy 299 turn North from downtown Junction City (next community West of Weaverville)onto paved road directly across from the old store (dingy green?). You should be on & stay on the East side of the creek. drive to end of the road (ends in paved parking lot w/ facilities).
