Description
There are two ways to start this hike The Grouse Ridge trailhead is the harder one the Feeley Lake trailhead is a longer but gentler hike so it depends on what you are looking for. on both trails you head for the Sand Ridge trail and accend to the top of Sand Ridge this is a little tough for some people but very enjoyable. Hike along the top to the other end of the ridge the tail is there but can be kind of hard to stay on do not worry as the lakes are just a little way down from the end of the ridge. This is a very nice hike and it seems that few attempt it. Glacier Lake its just above you as are the Black Buttes both of which are easily hiked to from five lakes. There are pictures of this hike in the Pictures section of the backpacker under Grouse Ridge wilderness take a look I know you will like it.
