Description
A coastline, extremely popular & accessible hike. Rare torrey pines seen only here and on Santa Rosa Is. All trails are quite crowded on weekends; try to get there in early a.m. on a weekday for a chance at solitude. Trails are short & flat but a nice way to spend an afternoon in San Diego w/ young kids or grandparents. There's a museum & restrooms at the reserve.

Directions to Hike
From hiway 5, take the Genessee Rd. exit, go west to No. Torrey Pines Rd. (to the right) which takes you right to the entrance (about 2-3 miles).

Contact Information
Afoot & Afield in SD County, Jerry Schad
