Description
This is about a two-day hike. It is fairly easy in some places, yet rigorous in others. There are a few difficult switch-backs and steep inclines. It consists of several open meadows highlighted by dramatic granite peaks, paralleled by Mono Creek and Silver Pass Creek. There are also numerous glacier lakes surrounding Silver Pass, which was the climax of our hike. Silver Pass provides a panoramic view in every direction, from the high country of Yosimite to the back country behind Florence Lake.

Directions to Hike
From Fresno, CA, take Friant Road to Highway 168, all the way to its termination point at Edison Lake. Either park near the store and take one of the two ferrys (9:30am and 4:00) across the lake. Or you can park at the trailhead and hike around the lake, which is about 4-5 miles.
