"Great spot. Had a Black Bear come up and try to steal our dinner. Also dicovered that at night mice and rats are in the rafters, so hanging you pack there is useless because they either climb down or jump onto your packs and get into your food. Turn on a light and you see all those eyes shining in the dark, but still is a great place to spend a day relaxing. The hike up from Boone is steep and tiring, takes most of a day to get from the bottom to the top and if you are not in shape you wil give out before you get up there."

"Great shelter. The extended roof with benches is very nice. I saw a deer come within 20 feet of the shelter which was very cool."
