Rooster, 09/28/07User Rating:  "I love this shelter. I have been a repeat visitor and have brought friends and family to this spot, and have carved my name in the upper level window. I once hiked here in 2 1/2 feet of snow and loved every minute of it. I will continue to be a repeat. "
hillman, 08/05/07User Rating:  "cozy place for an outdoors man only one problem i encountered a thief.. a small footed 4 legged fellow (mouse) with a sweet tooth for peanuts and raisins... there went my trail mix"
Arenas, 07/09/07User Rating: "Gorgeous views from the shelter and the pooper. Lots of room for lots of people with a convenient picnic table out front to watch the sun over the valley laid out in front of you. Favorite shelter I have ever been to."
Porcelian Dreamer, 06/01/05User Rating: "The shelter in 1993 when I went through was in need of some work to clean up the first story but the sleeping loft (the old hayloft?) is spacious, nice and dry though a little breezy. There is a simply awesome view down into the valley below and with the peak of the mountain rising above behind it. In good weather a great meadow is in front of the barn for tarping/tenting, in driving rain the barn is dry and spacious - you could pack a couple dozen hikers in this one. "
Glimmer, 03/21/07User Rating: "Great shelter. If not crowded, you can set up a tent inside for privacy, it's that big! Great views, nice fire bit, privy with outstanding view. About 20ft away is another fire pit and room for tents. You can cook downstairs, out of the rain on the raised sleeping platforms then go upstairs to bed. "
