"Dont stay at this shelter or camp at campsite above unless you want your food stolen while hanging in tree!!!!!!!!!!! Not only is it poorly maintained it is not safe at all. "

"Stayed there in may of '05, this shelter is too close to highway and parking area. Lots of late night foot traffic. Long downhill from at. Much graffiti and damage due to proximity of road. Spring was free flowing and very good."

    Juice, 03/10/06User Rating:
"Definately the worst kept shelter between PA RT.30 and Harpers Ferry. Stay here only as a last resort. It'll be worth your while to pass this up and hike a few extra miles to the next shelter (Especially if you're going south towards Ensign Cowell)."
