Description
Ouachita National Recreation Trail runs 223 miles E to W thru the beautiful Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas and into OK. It has a little bit of everything from steep climbs to fairly level ridge back runs; creek crossings; and a string of shelters. Good for many day hikes or about three week backpacking. Mostly in the Ouachita national Forest, the trail crosses two wilderness areas and three state parks.

Directions to Hike
East end: Near Visitor's Center at Pinnacle Mt SP (near Little Rock). West end in Talimena SP (OK. Trailheads at approximate ten mile intervals all along.
