Description
Beautiful hike through spectacular scenery. Forested on the start and finish, high alpine for the middle. Lake is set among some great peaks with some old mining shafts that can be fun but dangerous to explore. Lots of day hikes once you get to the lake. Great view of Seward from the top

Directions to Hike
From Anchorage drive the Seward Hwy to Primrose Campground, about 15 miles from Seward, at the end of Kenai Lake. Trail leaves from there and traverses to a trail head in Seward located in the Primrose Subdivision. Pick up a copy of 55 Ways to Hike in Southcentral AK. Great tour guide for trekking!
