Description
A steep hike on a wide and well maintained trail next to Eklutna Lake. Parks pass is needed to park. The trail is on the most part up and fairly steep. There are benches along the way which is nice. beyond the last bench, there hikes on smaller trails which offer beautiful views of the Eklutna Lake, the valley down to the ocean and the Glacier which has become smaller.
LOTS OF BEAR SCAT. Which means making noise or talking is a good idea along this trail.
There were some nice looking small tent sites above the last bench on the trail. Reports of snow in the summer are common.

Directions to Hike
Take the Eklutna Lake exit off of the Glen Highway. (This is about 30 miles from downtown Anchorage)
Follow signs to Eklutna Lake.
Drive 10 miles back. Pass the campground and park at the main parking area.

Contact Information
